Structured Products Annual Performance Review 2017

Lowes Financial Management’s Structured Product Annual Performance Review for 2016

Lowes Financial Management have been monitoring, evaluating and helping to shape the Structured Product sector for almost twenty years and having recorded details of every product launched in the intermediary space since 1999, we are the only source of this maturity data.

This year’s data yet again proves that the Structured Product sector as a whole, has delivered reasonable results and that careful selection can lead to very attractive returns. This is further demonstrated by the results achieved by our ‘Preferred’ product panel which we have included this year.

Also this year, alongside the ‘SP-- The Stars’ which showcases some of the top performing maturities of 2016, we have included “SP-- The Black Hole” showing the worst performing product. Whilst this does demonstrate that the rarer, more esoteric products carry more risk, we are hopeful that it will not detract from the fact that it was one of only 9 out of 427 maturities that returned a loss.

Past performance is not a guide to the future – we can’t predict the future but if you want to know which of the current range of products are on our ‘Preferred’ list please just ask.
