A Share of Underperformance

On the back of the impressive 2015 maturity results, 2016 maturities are already showing a divergence in perfromance between the popular index linked products and those linked to alternate measures.

Over the last year structured products linked to a basket of shares have become less prolific. There are 164 share linked plans currently in force, some of which are highly likely to drag down the future maturity performance of the structured product sector as a whole.

Five particular shares which feature prominently within share linked plans have fallen significantly over the recent years. Our paper identifies these shares and the extent to which they have fallen.
